The College English Association-Middle Atlantic Group includes Maryland, Delaware, and the metropolitan area of the District of Columbia. The organization is a regional affiliate of the College English Association, Inc. The Middle Atlantic Group is, however, governed independently and plans its activities independently, while fostering the goals of the national group.
The Middle Atlantic Group of the CEA provides opportunities for the discussion of problems pertaining to the study and teaching of English at the college level. Conferences, publications, and personal contacts will foster the examination of the profession. The group will promote the study of language use and a broad study of the humanities as well as provide for the exchange of ideas concerning the relationship between high school and college English.
